General Information & Requirements

If you are feeling unwell and have COVID-19 symptoms, please ensure you get tested to find out if you are positive for COVID-19. 

On flights operated by fastjet, travellers are still required to wear a mask if they are unvaccinated.

The details on our website are based on the latest official information provided to fastjet, which remains subject to change at short notice and without prior notification. Therefore, we advise you to check the relevant Government and Agency websites and official sources for further information and the latest official guidance.

Zimbabwe

Entry Requirements 

All travellers entering Zimbabwe from an international destination are required to present for verification at the check-in desk:

  • A valid vaccination certificate (vaccinations approved by the World Health Organisation WHO) showing you have received all required doses and, therefore fully vaccinated. Alternatively, travellers can present a valid negative test certificate of a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before departure time.

Customers who do not present a valid vaccination certificate or negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate taken no more than 48 hours before the time of departure, irrespective if you are an international traveller or a returning resident, will not be accepted for travel. 

Additional Information

International travellers who do not present valid vaccination certification, or if not fully vaccinated, do not have a valid negative PCR test and certificate, shall be denied entry into Zimbabwe. To avoid this situation and support local regulations and requirements, fastjet will not accept such passengers for the flight.  

Returning residents who do not present valid vaccination certification, or if not fully vaccinated, do not have a valid negative PCR test certificate shall be required to take a PCR test on arrival in Zimbabwe. You may be required to quarantine at your own cost for ten days. If found to be positive, returning residents will be required to isolate in accordance with the provision of the latest principal order. To avoid this situation and support local regulations and requirements, fastjet will not accept such passengers for the flight.  

Quarantine for locals, returning residents and visitors is not applicable for fully vaccinated travellers.

Exit Requirements for Travellers

There are no local requirements for exiting the country. When exiting travellers shall be required to present at check-in the valid documentation specified by the destination country.

South Africa

Entry Requirements 

There are no COVID-19 related entry restrictions or requirements for travel to South Africa.

Exit Requirements for Travellers

There are no local requirements for exiting the country. However, when leaving, travellers must present the valid documentation specified by the destination country at check-in.

Botswana

Entry Requirements 

There are no COVID-19 related entry restrictions or requirements for travel to Botswana.

Exit Requirements for Travellers

There are no local requirements for exiting the country. However, when leaving, travellers must present the valid documentation specified by the destination country at check-in.
